Inside the Hobbit Hole

This week we go inside the hobbit hole. As you can see, I loved the window seats, so there are a lot of window seat pictures. I took a LOT of pictures inside the hobbit hole because there was so much delightful detail. Someone must have had a lot of fun designing all the furniture, tools, pottery and fabrics. Great fun.

Next week: the bridge leading to the Mill on the Water, and the Green Dragon Inn.

Because it is mostly underground, there was uneven lighting, and some of the pictures are not sharp and clear because of it.

The kitchen with its tile floor, rag rug, and wood-fired oven

Hobbit highchair

Sink of carved stone

Pots and pans on hooks, shelves with crockery

Underneath the kitchen island

A rustic table

Pottery place settings

The woodpile, kitchen tools, and a toy rocking chair

A nice variety of rolling pins

Medicinal herbs

Harvest and food preparation implements

Comfy window seat

Fabric and linens

A hobbit's bed

Stone sink in the bathroom

A rather small bathtub. The window has privacy curtains

I really like this turned-wood frame holding reminders such as "Quiz Night at the Green Dragon," "Smoke Ring Blowing," "Carrots," "(Something) for sale," and a recipe on how to cook fish.

The pottery was beautiful. I wish they had it for sale.

Especially this one

Blue ribbons, a pipe, knitting yarn, a mending basket, a peg game, and a bottle of buttons

Musical instruments and books and a scale model of a hobbit hole

Another comfy looking window seat with a tray of snacks

Closeup of the snacks

Preparations for ale or beer I believe, since one of the dried herbs appears to be hops

Picture collection, including butterflies, animals, and botanicals

The weaver's corner

Yarns and fibers

Baskets of string, a bottle of apple cider vinegar, a bag of corn flour, and a ceramic crock holding lye

These don't look like great brooms to me. I like the broom  hook, though

The back door. What a charming little house.

Next week will be a few more pictures, including The Green Dragon Inn and the bridge leading to The Mill on the Water. Then, more pictures of random people who show up for dinner at my table.
